Calling on the Lord (Audio)

Who would you like to see call on the name of the Lord?

Maybe someone like John:
“My wife of 45 years, who is only 65, has dementia that has rapidly progressed over the last year. Thank you for sharing your story. I am inspired by your story.”

Or someone like Chris:
“Religions are divisive and poisonous. They keep people in ignorance and fear.”

Or someone like James:
“My wife and I are super excited. I’ve been scratching my head for this info for years and I will be sure to tell my friends to swing on by.”

There can be great joy when someone calls on the name of the Lord and they have hope in Jesus Christ. How is God calling and equipping you to share his good news with people you meet?

When we look back over our lives, we might find that God has prepared the way or guided us in surprising ways.  This week is the first in an occasional series of interviews with people who will share their faith journey, exploring how God has guided and shaped their lives through people, events, and prayer.

Sometimes God is prompting us to “put a toe in the water” without us knowing what He has planned.  Are we in tune with God’s promptings and do we trust Him enough to step out in faith?

Relational Prayer (Audio)

At its simplest, prayer is a conversation between two people who love each other. That means prayer is not about perfecting the correct methodology. Instead, it’s about growing in this love relationship where we can respond with all we are, to all that Father God is to us.  When it comes to praying, we’ve already been given everything we need: a heart, mind, mouth, and ears. Using these, prayer becomes a flow of love toward God that can bear fruit of all kinds as we submit to him and know him better.
